Values-Based Leadership is a conscious, pro-active approach to managing and running a successful business, by creating an alignment of employee personal values with the values of the organization. By fully engaging employees within a workplace where they feel appreciated, they are significantly more engaged in their respective work environment. An examination of current and future culture complemented by developing and living espoused values, establishes a transparent, recognizable values framework around all aspects of the organization.

A values-based business succeeds when there is a combination of organization-wide effort and individual focus, from top, down and across, on the declared foundational values of the organization. It’s not simply a plaque on the wall or slogans used at company meetings. A values-based business is one that ‘lives’ their core set of values, both internally and externally. Those core values are enduring guiding principles that capture the organization’s strengths and character and remain steadfast in the face of changing market trends.
